Katie is the sister of and was Maid of Honor to one of my Spring brides this year, and I was so excited when she contacted me about a newborn lifestyle session! I ventured out to her Detroit area home a few weekends back to meet her families newest addition, Vera. No shortage of cuteness with this squeeze!
Little Vera’s nursery had me all sorts of excited with gorgeous natural light, neutral walls, and fun pops of color for a whimsical feel. I always like to start with detailed shots of the nursery because let’s face it, Mom likely put a lot of thought into the design and decor, and it helps tell the story of their little one! I am especially smitten with that turquoise chest with brass detail, but that whimsy elephant canvas comes in at a close second!
Miss Vera was wide awake and curious most of our session, but with a little coaxing, we were able to lull her into a deep sleep right at the end! I thoroughly enjoyed my time with the VandeVusse family and have been anxious to share their session. So without further ado…scroll on my sweet friends!
