When Taylor reached out to me about her June 2020 wedding, I was disappointed to relay to her that I was already booked. I photographed her best friends wedding a few years prior, and I knew I would be missing out on a beautiful celebration of love.

Well, we all know how 2020 played out, and unfortunately Taylor had to cancel her large dream wedding for a backyard elopement. She checked my availability for their new date, and I was free! I wish the circumstances were different, but I’m so glad the stars aligned for us.

Matt is from Australia, and unfortunately his family was unable to travel back for the new date. So instead, they watched live over Zoom. How fortunate are we to live during a time where we can stream a wedding live overseas? So incredible.

As you can see, Taylor looked like a dream. Their sunny summer elopement was beautiful & emotional. Lots of tears were flowing as the Finkel family knew they’d be saying goodbye to a daughter, sister, & friend. Just a week after their vows, Taylor would be packing up and moving over the pond to Australia with Matt. You could feel the weight of this in every interaction. Every embrace, every tear, every photo.

Taylor & Matt’s wedding is several months behind us, and they have safely relocated to Australia. I wish them great success & happiness as they build a life overseas! I hope you enjoy these sweet moments from their summer 2020 elopement!
