I am so excited to share this cozy in-home newborn session with my sweet friend Melissa and her newest addition, Mila. Melissa is a uber talented florist and event planner here in West Michigan (check out her work here!!!). Like myself, she loves a light & airy aesthetic, and with both of us being fairly new to the entrepreneurial world, we found common ground and community within each other quite fast.
It’s funny to think that just 2 years back, Melissa and I didn’t know each other. She reached out to me via email after finding my Instagram account, we met for coffee, and the rest is History. Since that meeting, we’ve spent many hours creating content together for our social accounts, her providing floral & design while I photographed her creations. We worked together on a gorgeous styled shoot at Gable Hill Wedding Barn that was featured by both Glamour & Grace and Wedding Day Magazine, with one of the images making it to print. We also took on a whole new venture and co-hosted our first ever anne marie workshop this past Spring, a styled wedding workshop for photographers in the wedding industry. To say we’ve accomplished a lot together is an understatement! I am so thankful our paths crossed because not only is she a wonderful business partner, but also friend, mentor, and motivator.
I loved meeting Mila and seeing Melissa as a Mommy. This is clearly a role in life she was meant to take on, and she’s doing it flawlessly. And not to my surprise, Mila’s nursery was all sorts of light filled & girly, just as I’d expect!
