Hello! Friends, Family, Clients, Passerby's - I am humbled you're here. 

I never anticipated I'd be a photography blogger, or even a photographer for that matter, but here I am, typing (and clicking) away. First and foremost I want to thank EVERYONE who has chosen Laurenda Marie Photography thus far. I mean seriously, thank YOU.

Let's rewind for a moment. About three years ago I had just gotten my first DSLR camera. I looked at it eagerly, but also terrifyingly. It was foreign to me. I was lost. But I knew I had a fire within me to learn how to use it - to capture my babies. Their tiny toes, silly grins, and young spirits. I spent countless hours practicing, and failing. But I kept going, because I knew I could do it, and behind every great artist there is struggle, failure, and perseverance.  The learning part never ends. I learn something new every day.  I'm constantly trying to better myself from yesterday. My passion ultimately led me here, to serve all of you, and to capture your memories too. I'm really, truly, living out my dream right now...

OK, so sappiness aside, I wanted to share one of my favorite Newborn Lifestyle sessions from last October. Christina and Marcus had the sweetest nursery for their son Calvin. These in home newborn sessions are quickly becoming a favorite of mine. I love capturing the details, but most of all, the nervous excitement of new parents...
