Elegant Chic Styled Bridal Shoot at Gable Hill Barn | Laurenda Marie Photography | Marcellus, Michigan

Instagram is such an incredible networking tool. And no, this is not a post about Instagram - but that little application on my phone is how this gorgeous styled bridal shoot at Gable Hill Barn even came to fruition!

This year I've "met" so many talented, local creatives through Instagram, including Melissa from Forever and a Day Events! She is a wedding planner and florist with an eye for beautiful, unique designs. Melissa reached out after finding my Instagram page and swooning over the light and airy style I aim for. We scheduled a meeting over coffee and totally hit it off. Our styles and visions aligned perfectly and we knew we had to combine our talents and create something special!

Melissa was the brains behind this elegant chic bridal shoot, and enlisted some of the very best local talent to bring her vision to life! Starting with Gable Hill, a gorgeous, brand-new barn venue tucked into a beautiful woodland setting in Marcellus Michigan - this really was the base of Melissa's design.

We utilized a rustic barn table at Gable Hill, and Melissa incorporated dishes, black goblets, and gold candlesticks from Gigi & LaClede. The Rental Company provided ghost chairs and beautiful lavender napkins. The whole place setting had a vintage feel with touches of glitz and elegance. I love how much the old and new compliment each other. The whimsical invitation suite and menu card were designed by Alisa Bobzien Wedding's from Detroit.

Of course this styled shoot would be nothing without our drop dead models - Elle and TJ! They played their role's FLAWLESSLY! And you guys, the first time they met was the day of this shoot! Talk about some instant chemistry...or just some well played acting! Props to them both for being absolutely incredible, helpful, and SO easy to work with!

Elle's two-piece wedding gown with an ivory & blush floral skirt came straight from Ali Nicole Bridal in downtown Grand Rapids, along with her ivory and gold detailed stilettos and earrings. Krystle did an amazing job on her hair and Wonderfully Made Make-Up gave her a flawless face to complete the look! And that bouquet and centerpiece!? All the florals complete with lavender, ranunculus, olive branches, and roses were designed and arranged by Melissa. I adore the touch of lavender she added to each place setting and ghost chair, too!

We enlisted Jessica from With Love Cupcakes and Cakes to design a two tiered ruffled cake and she NAILED IT! How fun and beautiful, right?! We may have given it a little try after we wrapped...and I APPROVED! As did the rest of our crew!

I am so incredibly grateful and proud of each and every vendor who participated with this shoot! Everyone nailed their role and the outcome was more than I could have dreamed of! I am humbled daily by the experiences I have been able to partake in since jumping into the world of photography - and so grateful I found my true passion. Enjoy!!
