DIY Greenery Napkin Ring for Wedding Reception | Laurenda Marie Photography
How fun, right? Melissa from Forever and A Day Events does it again!
This is our second DIY Bride installment, and we're so excited about this one! These greenery napkin rings are such a simple way to bring a pop of green to your wedding day tablescape. I can attest as a wedding photographer that hints of greenery included in your decor will not only look beautiful, but photograph fabulously! I just love the fresh element they bring, and your guests will swoon over this fun detail, enhancing their dining experience!
Even if you're not super crafty, these are simple to make! I watched Melissa whip up this beautiful eucalyptus wrap in about 5 minutes! Grab your Mom and a few girlfriends to help out, and you could have a full receptions worth in a short amount of time!
To start, you'll need to snag some fresh foliage from a local florist or greenhouse.
Melissa used baby eucalyptus for the completed wrap as pictured, but here are a few others that work well!
leather leaf
salal leaves
myrtle
You'll also need...
floral snips
floral wire (22 gauge)
wire cutter
napkins
Process
Cut foliage with floral snips to about 4 inches in length. Start the floral wire about 1/2 inch down on the foliage, wrap the wire every 1/2 inch until you reach the end. Cut wire with wire cutter and bend each end in to avoid sharp edges from sticking out!
Pinch the center of the napkin and grab half way down way. Wrap foliage around napkin in either a circle or spiral fashion.
There you have it! Have fun with it ladies!
